Proofreading

Proofreading occurs after all other types of editing have been done.

Once your material

- is well organized,

- flows logically,

- is clear and coherent,

- contains accurate information and

- is complete,

it is ready for proofreading.

Proofreading entails

- correcting minor issues that may have been missed,

- ensuring your document adheres to design requirements and style guides,

- ensuring all material is consistent and accurate ( e.g. titles, links, visual elements).

Please note that proofreading is a final check of a document after all edits have been done.

Think of proofreading as that extra pair of eyes when you feel your document is ready; it is your last step before publishing.
